What's your business, and who are your customers?

I’m a marketing professional and an author. I’ve written three books, all geared toward marketers and entrepreneurs. My latest book, The Art of Messaging, is a practical guide on how to create remarkable messages and stand out in a noisy world.

Tell us about yourself

I am an accidental marketer. Before I fell in love with marketing, I was a copywriter and a music journalist. Copywriting is about messaging. Journalism is storytelling. Music evokes emotion. What I love about marketing is that it combines all three.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

As an author, I love helping people turn on new lights. As a marketing professional, I enjoy helping brands clarify their story and transform their results through marketing. And the joy of practicing my craft alongside generous and creative marketers.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

As an author, the hardest part is writing.
