What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am the creator of the Life Inventory Assessment, a tool that shows people their blind spots and guides action to live a higher quality of life. Our customers are coaches, counselors, and therapists that work with people to achieve life fulfillment.
Tell us about yourself
I got started with the selfish interest of living my absolute best life. I became a student of life with a desire to figure it out, and eventually, that led me to create a process that reveals the answers to living and feeling more fulfilled. I am most motivated by knowing that something I've created is helping others to understand themselves, helping them live a better life, helping them to feel less pain, experience more self-acceptance, and live more joy --- there's no better feeling.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
To date, finishing the coaches certification program -- we certified the first 14 heart-led coaches to use the Life Inventory Assessment in their work. Boom!!!!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
In the early years of product development after leaving my corporate career, it was scary, unknown, financially draining, and relationship-straining. During these times, as I think every entrepreneur will experience, I had to dig deep into the well to keep going; self-doubt and self-sabotage were alive and thriving, and where I learned so much.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Know your why and be prepared to bleed for it.
- Surround yourself with people that love you, that see you, and that will support you.
- Constantly find clients to serve and build while you serve. Like pouring a cement pad, the client is the form that shapes the path. Without the client there to serve and give you feedback, you are at high risk of dumping an expensive mix of sand, water, and gravel into a shapeless pile of goop --and, if you aren't careful, you might end up stuck in it.
