My intention is to disrupt the old patterns and provide tools so that people can stop multi-generational cycles of dysfunction and unhappiness. I seek to shed light on the unconscious relational, and personal repetitions people engage in that have negative impacts on society. Let's change the world together.

Who are my clients?

Adults, couples, adult families, and companies that are interested in detecting, disrupting, and replacing old toxic patterns of engagement and behavior. They are high-functioning, modern, and forward-moving adults of all sexual orientations and genders who have done some work on themselves and realize that they are finally ready for real change and an epically emotionally healthy life.

Tell us about yourself

They say that unshared knowledge is a waste. I agree. My greatest desire is that the work that I do with my clients contributes to the disruption of multi-generational patterns so that the planet can benefit. I trust the ripple effect. When I work with one person, I know that they are impacting at least five people on average. If they are leaders in some capacity, they are impacting their employees or team members or family, and each of those people is impacting five other people. These people, in turn, are impacting their circles of people. This ripple effect is on my mind constantly. When people heal, they will positively impact those around them.

I know this because I have managed to rise above my childhood impact upon me. I grew up in an emotionally unstable family in which my life included: different schools, bullying, parental mental illness, living in multiple countries, parental divorce, and multiple separations pre-divorce that had a deep impact on my being and how I experienced relationships. I managed to heal through years of profound personal work devoted to studying and practicing a variety of eastern philosophy spiritual modalities. My thirst for knowledge, energy healing, intentional/conscious living, modern and traditional psychology as well as spirituality have played massive roles in my healing soul journey. This has all led me to tap deeply into my sole purpose, which is to use my history, my knowledge, and my work to disrupt multi-generational family and organizational dysfunction.

For over a quarter of a century, I have witnessed the metamorphosis of countless people as they journey toward uncovering their true "self-culture" and their healthy "relationship cultures." I have a master's degree in educational psychology have studied energy psychology modalities for a period of 8 years; and my influences include Buddhism, Reiki, osteopathy, visualization, meditation, as well as modern and traditional psychotherapy, the basis for my brand of holistic psychotherapy that works with the mind, body, and soul to effect monumental change in my clients, students, subscribers, and readers lives.

I am also a Keynote Speaker:

I am told I excite audiences with my energy! My skilled communication style fosters deep self-awareness in clients and my audience, leading to change and healing. My most recent speaking gigs were at the Harvard Medical School's Karp Lab and at the From Trauma to Triumph Summit: Healing Our Stories Through Stories.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I feel incredibly blessed to have discovered my purpose relatively early in life. I am so proud that during my over 25 years of practice, I was able to synthesize my work and develop my own brand of holistic psychotherapy, combining traditional and eastern approaches to empower clients and strengthen their relationships.

I carved a path in Toronto's very traditional vibe in the very early 90s when no one even knew what holistic modalities were. I was the first to coin the phrase Holistic Psychotherapy in a well-known holistic magazine in Toronto called Vitality Magazine.

In my 2nd book, Connecting: Rewire Your Relationship-Culture, renowned Canadian author and TV personality Dini Petty wrote the forward to the book and said:

"This book would have made my journey shorter and easier. It will guide you through your family matrix, into dating in the modern world, how to spot relationship dysfunction from the start, and finally lead you into healthy relationships and enduring marriages." I am also very proud of having written two very impactful books as well as countless video content that will be my legacy long after I am gone.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Truthfully, I love being my own boss. I love autonomy and independence. I had a couple of financial mentors that showed me how to keep books and to never ever, ever spend the HST tax account! This is potentially one of the key things where folks can go wrong when they are self-employed. They don't realize how important it is to save for and to pay one's taxes. I myself have not always been as organized as I could have been…especially in the very early years. Today after nearly 30 years in business myself, I can finally say I have a good and user-friendly accounting routine. Best feeling ever!

The best advice I ever got was: Live within your means and take risks that are calculated and well thought out. I was also encouraged to Invest in real estate when possible and to save for that.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Work to clean up any unhealthy belief patterns around money that may have developed and/or copied from a family of origin.
  2. Persistence brings rewards. Once you have discovered you are in the right place, don't give up. Leave no stone unturned, and believe you deserve success.
  3. Be flexible and pivot when needed. During the pandemic, I shifted to remote work after over 25 years of working in my own beloved curated office in midtown Toronto. I am now busier than ever. I work more internationally than ever. My goal to impact the entire planet in positive ways is now a reality.
  4. Walk your talk. You can't take anyone further than you are willing to go yourself.
  5. Be yourself. Be authentic. Do the work to strip away any fake performative, people-pleasing patterns. Not everyone will like you, but then again, if everyone likes you, you aren't doing it right. Being your true self is what true happiness is made of.
  6. Be organized. Be an entrepreneur that keeps good and organized books. Look at your accounts weekly and stay in touch with spending, saving, and investing as an important part of your routine. Know that you have value and deserve to do well while doing good on the planet.
