What's your business, and who are your customers?

At Fit Body Boot Camp, our fitness classes are not “classes” in the traditional sense but results-driven sessions focused on weight loss and body toning. AFTERBURN: TWICE THE WORKOUT IN HALF THE TIME! Our signature 30-minute Afterburn workouts combine High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) with Active Rest Training to produce fun workouts that burn twice the calories in half the time and keep your metabolism running at a higher rate for up to 36 hours post-workout. Every Fit Body Boot Camp session is led by a certified coach to ensure that you get the best workout and most fat burn while keeping you safe and injury free!

A fitness, health, and wellness entrepreneur, author, motivational speaker, and philanthropist, Matt Espeut has had a strong influential presence in Rhode Island for the past 25 years. Espeut runs and manages the fitness studio Providence Fit Body Boot Camp, where he leads a team of experts that shape individuals into the best versions of themselves. With the guidance and mentorships of various industry professionals, Espeut has and continues to expand his expertise in functional training, holistic nutrition, and strength and conditioning coaching. Apart from overseeing the day-to-day operations and coaching people of all ages, shapes, and sizes at Providence Fit Body Boot Camp, Espeut volunteers as a coach for a high school football team, writes for various publications, and partakes in public speaking to educate and motivate individuals. Espeut strongly believes in giving back to the community by raising money for an array of local charities: Shri Service Corp, Operation Stand Down, The American Cancer Society, The Autism Project, Teen Challenge, RI Food Bank, and many more. Espeut also decided to channel his passion into another platform writing fitness lifestyle books. His first book, “Unleash Your Full Potential,” is now available on Amazon, and he is currently continuing his writing with columns in regional and national publications.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

We have been in business for over eight years and still standing strong, even after a pandemic that caused thousands of businesses to close their doors. All throughout the pandemic, we still found ways to keep our members physically and mentally strong.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Building a world-class team and leading them to be successful.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
