Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Dr. Jake Weinstein, Owner of Mobile Care Health, located in Denver, CO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Mobile Care Health is a concierge medical practice headquartered in Denver, CO, offering mobile services in the Denver area and telehealth in 25 states. We come to you! Our specialty is hormone balancing, primary/urgent care, mental health, weight management, peptides, sexual health, and so much more.

Tell us about yourself

I started as an EMT and paramedic, heading to patients' homes to deliver care and transport them to the hospital. As a Nurse Practitioner, I saw the need for a higher level of care for patients, for routine and urgent services. People are busy, and society has shifted to mobile services from food deliveries, next-day packages, and an array of services that will come to your home. Mobile Care started by providing services at a local clinic and transitioned to an entirely mobile and telehealth practice in May of 2022.

I am motivated by my patients. I have the opportunity to see people improve the quality of their health in a short period. We are a proactive practice, meaning we do not wait for you to become ill or develop a chronic condition. Our providers seek out potential conditions developing in patients to prevent disease.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Navigating the regulation and complexities of delivering mobile healthcare has been a significant challenge as we expand services and locations.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

As an owner, everything falls on your shoulders, and this can be overwhelming at times. This creates a significant amount of stress in your personal and professional life.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

How you want to deliver goods and services does not always align with what customers want. The internet is a big space, and brand recognition is key to attracting new customers. Do not be afraid to try something new; at the same time, it's okay to let things go that do not work.
