What's your business, and who are your customers?

Renu Health is a digital wellness platform that features a wide array of wellness and life coaches that focus on diet, personal training, injury prevention, habit, and self-care management to improve the lives of others.

Our customers include individuals, businesses, and groups. Our ideal client is someone who is willing to take the next step in becoming the best version of themselves.

Tell us about yourself

I co-founded this business with my wife, Marissa O'Connor. We were motivated to start this business because we realized the power of prevention, education, and coaching to achieve the best possible outcomes for people. We are motivated by the people's lives we have changed throughout our careers.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is being able to recruit and make connections with like-minded providers to expand our diverse services throughout the country. It's truly amazing to be able to offer this platform for them to be able to grow their own clientele through our platform.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things is achieving those first customers to your business and gaining that initial consumer trust. Once the first clients are committed, they tell others, and the ball slowly starts to roll.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Define the problem you are trying to solve and your mission.
  2. Think about the people who can help you solve your mission. Who can you add to your team that won't let you down.
  3. Think about your business model and clearly define how you will control costs, and you plan to gain revenue as quickly as possible.
