Trainees are allowed to gain experience on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level. These experiences bring new insights and opportunities, both work-related and personal. My customers are mainly people who work in organizations all over the world.

Tell us about yourself

I am the owner and Managing Director of RMD Training. Since 1999 I have used my experience-based programs for personal and professional development, leadership, and team leadership. I studied International Management and Marketing at the International Business School in Groningen and the Middlesex Business School in London.

After graduation, I worked as the General Director of an event, training, incentive, and consultancy company for years. I practice the martial arts Aikido and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in my spare time. I currently hold a third-degree black belt in Aikido. Nowadays, I conduct many experience-based programs for various companies and institutions.

Since a young age, I have had a strong interest in the psyche of the human being. I have taken various courses and part-time studies in this field of expertise throughout my life. For instance, the studies Master Coach and Neuro Linguistic Programming, Transpersonal Psychology, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). I am a certified Psycho Physical Trainer as well.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Managing a healthy balance between being a business owner, a man, a father, and a husband. Furthermore, proud of the profound and significant difference I and my programs make in people's lives.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

To walk the talk and not get distracted by old norms and opinions in leading stream society.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get to know yourself in a profound way and matter. To increase self-knowledge.
  2. Remain loyal to yourself and therefore be authentic—even the things you do not like about yourself.
  3. Enjoy work life and treasure significant relationships. You do not have to do this alone; there is more joy in doing things together.
