What's your business, and who are your customers?

As a business development director, I work closely with business owners who typically have backgrounds in technical fields or hold advanced professional degrees. My primary goal is to help these clients achieve success by providing them with a comprehensive business prospectus that includes expert guidance on marketing, branding, cash flow management, and administrative operations.

One of my key areas of focus is helping clients develop effective marketing strategies to build brand awareness and drive sales. By conducting market research and analyzing industry trends, I can identify key opportunities and develop targeted campaigns that resonate with their target audience. This includes developing compelling messaging and visual branding elements that help businesses stand out from their competition.

In addition to marketing, I also assist my clients with managing their cash flow effectively. This involves analyzing revenue streams and expenses to identify potential areas for improvement, as well as providing guidance on managing debt and credit.

Finally, I understand that administrative operations can be a significant challenge for many business owners. That's why I provide comprehensive support in this area, including developing efficient processes and systems that help streamline day-to-day operations and free up more time for growth-focused activities.

Overall, my role as a business development director is to provide my clients with the tools and guidance they need to succeed. By combining expert insights with a deep understanding of their unique business needs, I am able to help them achieve their goals and take their businesses to the next level.

Tell us about yourself

After being honorably discharged from the US Army, I pursued a career in the music industry as a performer for several years. However, my innate aptitude for numbers and a basic understanding of contracts led me to transition into the role of a label manager and, eventually, a label owner.

As a label owner, I gained extensive experience in various aspects of the music industry, including intellectual property rights, graphic arts, marketing, financial management, wholesale and distribution, and retail markets. I honed my skills in these areas, allowing me to make informed decisions that helped my label thrive in an ever-changing industry.

In 2004, I shifted my focus to corporate administration, specifically as a resident commercial agent in Nevada. As a resident agent, I provided comprehensive services to clients who chose to form corporations in Nevada. My services included guiding clients through the process of choosing the appropriate corporate entity and, once established, taking a seat on the board to provide ongoing support and guidance. I worked with clients in a variety of industries, including but not limited to food service, entertainment, music, real estate, and veterinarian services.

As a business professional, I am highly motivated by success and thrive on thinking outside the box. I am constantly seeking new and innovative ways to solve problems and achieve goals. I am always on the lookout for fresh ideas and creative approaches that can help me and my clients stay ahead of the curve. I am not afraid to take risks and pursue unconventional strategies when necessary. In fact, I am often told that my ideas and methods are novel and innovative. This feedback lets me know that I am on the right path and asking the right questions.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishments in my career have been turning around businesses that were in a downward spiral and helping them become successful, thriving enterprises. Through my expertise in marketing, branding, financial management, and administrative operations, I have been able to help struggling businesses overcome their challenges and achieve sustainable growth.

In addition, I have had the pleasure of managing eight-figure sales and merger deals, helping my clients achieve financial independence and success. Through my guidance and expertise, I have been able to facilitate complex deals that have yielded significant benefits for my clients.

Ultimately, I measure my success by the success of my clients. Seeing them achieve their goals and thrive in their respective markets is the ultimate validation of my work. I take great pride in knowing that I have played a significant role in their success, and I am committed to continuing to provide expert guidance and support to help them achieve even greater heights in the future.
