What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm Sophie Annaston, a Canadian content creator. Multifaceted, I share content across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and my personal site. I also have a self-guided wellness journal, available on Amazon.com (stalk & shop @theconsciouswellnessclub)
Tell us about yourself
I got my start on TikTok back in 2020, during the pandemic. When I downloaded the app, I saw other women sharing their daily routines and decided to take part in this trend. One of my very first videos went viral, and I leveraged my audience to crowdfund a wellness journal that I had already been working on. I always knew I wanted to work for myself, and TikTok was a catalyst for me as a personal brand and business owner.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is creating a multifaceted business from scratch using my phone and computer. I figured it out on my own and showed up for myself every single day.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Uncertainty, but it's a natural part of every entrepreneur's journey.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Set goals, show up for yourself, and stay consistent.
