What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a manager and owner of The Empowerment Coach, LLC. My mission is to inspire, encourage and empower individuals to cultivate mental wellness by desiring balance and peace. My target audience is female trauma survivors seeking to re-self-identify amidst the internal pains of their life experiences.
Tell us about yourself
As a product of rape, and a survivor of incest, child abandonment, divorce, cervical cancer survivor, and domestic violence, I sought to identify methods of healing independently by becoming a psychology major with more than a decade of clinical experience. As a doctoral student in developmental psychology, I aim to teach new clinicians real-world skills to help the community accomplish mental wellness.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I'm humbly grateful to journey with so many individuals as I witness the trajectory of their lives change for the better.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The economy may oppose profit consistencies as I also work for disadvantaged populations.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
New business owners must have the discipline to be consistent with completing the work started, motivation, and tenacity to dream beyond the challenges.
