Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Cristiana Blasutta, Founder of Whispering Out Loud LLC, located in Redmond, WA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I’m a Transformational Life and Business Coach, and I guide powerhouse women who know they’re meant for more to reignite their passion, find their purpose, and finally give themselves permission to seek and feel pleasure so that they can live the epic life they deserve and desire.

Tell us about yourself

I’m originally from Italy, born and raised there until I was 30yo. Then I moved to the US, to the Seattle area, where I spent 12 years. I had my two kids there, learned the language, and fell in love with a new culture. I found my dream job thanks to a friend who told me I would have been a terrific coach during a hike. My reaction? Thank you, but what is a coach? In Italy, we didn’t know anything about coaching, but when my friend told me about it, I instantly knew it was a dream coming true. I have always loved helping people, and coaching felt natural to me initially. There’s nothing that gives me the same pleasure as hearing my clients saying these words: “I became the person that I’ve always wanted to be!” I work on my growth consistently; I always have one or two coaches at a time. This allows me to become better and better as a coach and as a person. Investing in my growth is my number one priority. I’m blessed to have a beautiful family and live my dream life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I honestly think that being a business owner is very challenging; you have to become a master in navigating the ebbs and flows. My biggest accomplishment is keeping the same enthusiasm I did at the beginning. I really love my job!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The very same thing that I just wrote above. Understanding that it’s not enough to excel in what you do. You have to learn how to run your business, and sometimes it isn’t very encouraging because things don’t work out well, and you have to keep trying.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Keep investing in yourself.
  2. Surround yourself with supportive people.
  3. Ask for help: delegate the things you’re not good at to other people and stick to your zone of genius.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I created a deck of coaching cards, the Fifty Two Keys, that I use with all my clients.
