What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am an independent artist. My current customers range from family and friends to online fans.

Tell us about yourself

I have been working as a fine artist and actor for 15 years and recently completed my creative writing degree and became an independent artist certified through the Musicians Institute. I can take my ideas and designs to the next level regarding merchandise and product creativity.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would say the whole experience has been an ever-changing nonstop learning experience. I think I have been able to adapt and overcome the challenges. My biggest accomplishment has been creating and maintaining something that is truly my own vision.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing has been the trial and error and the rejection that can be brutal and character-building.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. I would say that collaboration is crucial to growth and sustainability.
  2. Another important virtue that is necessary is patience.
  3. Be open to people, views, and experiences since you may not get another chance.
