Tell us about yourself

CBD 4 My Wellbeing was created with family at its heart. My mother was in a lot of pain in her right hip and both of her shoulders for years. Doctors encouraged a replacement shoulder surgery that she received on her right shoulder. Due to the painful and long recovery process, my mom vowed she would never do it again.

Doctors advised my mom she could manage her left shoulder pains controlled with injections and pain pills. It was important for my mother to have a natural alternative solution in tandem with prescribed medication for pain management.

My journey to help my mother manage her pain ignited my research about hemp and its potential benefits surrounding pain relief, especially with the ease of CBD accessibility living in California. I gave my mother several different non-THC CBD creams that had varying degrees of effectiveness.

Through a meticulous and curated approach to product selection that aimed to diminish and manage her pain, I was elated with triumph and victory! That’s when I knew I had a bigger purpose of sharing my journey by helping others with a natural alternative means of pain management and gaining back their active lifestyles.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

“Accomplishment” is a very subjective word. For some people, just getting out of bed is a huge accomplishment. On the other end of the spectrum, gaining more power and money are their view of accomplishments.

I believe the biggest accomplishment of any business owner is putting in the hard work and dedication to starting a business. Ideas are a dime a dozen, and billions of people have them every day. But only a few are bold enough to fight past their "fears" and build a Company.

My congratulations go out to everyone actively building their dream into reality! My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is bringing to market a collection that can help people remember how it feels to potentially be pain-free again. The smiles and positive testimonials fill my heart with happiness.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The big word for me is balance. How does one effectively balance the demands of work and quality time with my family? Finding this balance is a common concern among many entrepreneurs. When you have your own business, balance becomes an enormous endeavor.

Most do not understand the time and commitment involved. It's just you that wears all the hats. The time you spend building your dream increases the closer you come to the grand opening.

Time management is the key not only to keeping yourself from getting burnt out, but it will also remind you that family time is NEVER regained.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have at least 1+ years of savings that will cover all costs (business and personal), so you can focus on scaling without worrying about mortgage, utilities, food, and childcare, along with other costs of living/business responsibilities.
  2. Never give up! People will tell you your dream is not possible and to get a 9 to 5. create a solid business plan that will help guide your progress along the way with a small team who brings specialized expertise. Such a structure will help the company's direction and growth. Stay the course, and don’t give up! You will have more failures than successes throughout this process, but find your grit and perseverance to continue scaling your business. Self-growth stems from learning from your past mistakes and how you have altered future decisions throughout your journey.
  3. Research, Research, and more Research. Become an expert in your business/industry. Know your market and its needs (or what is lacking). Don’t think it is a great idea because you came up with the idea. Most times, entrepreneurs lack sufficient data that determines if their idea will solve a problem that can be easily adopted by consumers.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

There is so much more to share, but I will leave you with this.
Life is short! Please don't take it for granted. When you have a dream, do not let fear or people in your circle stop you. Surround yourself with positive people, mentors, and sponsors who believe in you and your work.
Strong spousal support is key.

You must make them feel secure that your business will work and get them to buy into your dream. Once you do that, it changes from "my" dream to "our" dream. Ready? Set? GO!
