What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a local producer of dairy-free, lactose-free alternatives to conventional dairy cheeses. Our products mimic all the deliciousness of dairy cheese but without any animal products. We serve vegetarians, vegans, carnivores, omnivores, herbivores, paleos and Ketos. Our customers love healthy fats and believe in a balanced lifestyle. We, along with our customers, love feeling good and fuelling our bodies with foods that make us fly. We want to be bold and brilliant and enjoy every step of the way. That's why good, tasty, and healthy foods are a must.
Tell us about yourself
We started in the dairy-free world to accommodate allergies in our family without compromising taste and quality. We keep going every day because we envision a future where families will come together to share a delicious meal together that everyone can enjoy.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment as business owners has been to keep on going. Running a business is the easiest thing in the world to mess up! We've learned to be flexible with each challenge we've faced and also learned where to keep things the same in a world that always demands something new from creators.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
A blessing and a curse of having a business is that banks love to loan money to good ideas. Resisting that temptation and working within your cash flow is something we're still working out how to do every day!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Grow at the pace of your cash flow.
- Don't compromise on what got you started.
- Keep working your day job to take the pressure off your business.
