Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Gemini Ferrie Rosegold, Founder of Gemini Ferrie Int'l., located in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I use a combination of love-based coaching and RTT hypnotherapy to support women in loving themselves, building healthy relationships, and attracting and creating a conscious romantic relationship with someone based on compatible values, not just physical attraction.

Tell us about yourself

I first heard about the war when I was four years old. I didn't understand why adults would want to hurt each other physically, and I wondered, "why don't they just talk about it?" That was the first sign of my life purpose: to help people practice loving communication with themselves and others. As an adult, I had many relationships in which I compromised myself to try to get men to love me. No matter how hard I tried, I still felt not good enough. As heartbreaking as it was, I gave up on love and decided it was time to learn how to be happy without a man. I didn't know if it was possible, but I had to try to because trying to be happy from the outside in was not working.

During this time, I did an enormous amount of inner work while attending USM for their spiritual psychology program. When I got happy with myself, I met someone wonderful who I married. I believe everyone is destined to love and to be loved. When I help a woman go from feeling hopeless about love to feeling deserving of it, and she meets someone wonderful she's thrilled to build a meaningful connection with... this is what motivates me to help more women. Everyone deserves love.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

All the engagements, weddings, and babies that have been born from the women who were brave enough to take radical personal responsibility for themselves and transform their relationship to love with my guidance. I feel accomplished when a woman learns to give herself the love, validation, and acceptance she's been trying to get from men. Interestingly enough, this is often when women attract a great partner.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Staying true to oneself by continuing to trust in one's inner guidance and voice and not getting swept up in all the competing advice from business coaches online about the "right" approach.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Hire a coach who can help you design a business that represents your values and personality and who can also help you build a high self-worth success mindset. There are many approaches to success. What works for you may not work for me. Whatever approach you take has to feel good to you.
  2. Work on your mindset more than work on your business. Having the wrong mindset will hinder all the best strategies and efforts. So read/listen to personal growth books, and work with a personal coach or hypnotherapist to help you overcome any hidden blocks to your success.
  3. Get very clear about why you want to do the business you're doing and never give up. When you hit a wall, when things get hard, that's the time to get support, not the time to quit. You may need to shift some things in your business, but whatever challenges arise, keep going.
