What's your business, and who are your customers?

We have a store in Philadelphia that provides holistic health products. Our customers are people who prefer to take a holistic approach to self-healing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Tell us about yourself

I’m a mother of seven. I have worked in the airport for most of my life. I have been living a holistic lifestyle for over ten years. I follow Dr. Sebi's lifestyle. My daughter had brain cancer. I needed a place to find products that would have assisted me in my struggle with her ailment.

When she passed away, it was my passion to have a spot in the community where people could regularly come for their holistic needs. We have products, juices, and SeaMoss, and we offer Reiki and Yoni steaming services by appointment.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being a first-generation business owner. Staying open for two years and counting.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Marketing is the hardest for me. There are so many new tech and social ways to market a business. I am not marketing savvy, so it’s a test for me amongst having to make the never-ending map to success.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
