What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are Hotsy Totsy! We specialize in the handcrafted soap and body care, focusing on using only plant-based ingredients. Our customers range from fellow vegans that want to use products they can believe in, to people that love supporting small businesses in their community, to those that want pretty products that smell delicious for themselves or for gifting!
We also have many other businesses that sell our beautiful products in their boutiques, spas, and online stores nationwide!
Tell us about yourself
We are two best friends that are creative, compassionate, and hard-working. What started as a hobby turned into a side hustle that eventually led to a full-time business. We have the best employees and customers that we truly love, and this is what motivates us to continue our dream every day!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Through the difficulty of the last couple of years, we have been able to expand our business and hire our first employees. This has tremendously helped our business continue to grow. Our customers have shown up for us and supported us through all of the uncertainty and hardships, and for this, we are so incredibly grateful.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is being the boss. Having employees that rely on you and look to you for every decision can be really tough. Having to show up every day for them and for ourselves even when you're exhausted, overworked, and sometimes underpaid can take its toll. Not losing sight of the end goal is what we know is necessary to keep pushing forward and to continue our growth and success.

Start small, stay focused, and show up every... single... day...
