Boutique Pilates studios offer a unique and innovative form of Pilates that you won't find anywhere else. Our studios specialize in group Pilates classes designed to help you achieve your fitness goals in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Our Pilates classes are led by experienced and certified instructors who are passionate about helping you improve your core strength, flexibility, balance, and overall fitness. Our unique approach to Pilates is based on the latest research and techniques and is designed to provide a challenging and effective workout that will leave you feeling energized and refreshed.

At our studio, we believe that fitness is more than just physical exercise – it's also about building a supportive community of like-minded individuals who share a commitment to health and wellness. Tell us about yourself

Hi, I'm Kathy Covington, the founder of Mantra Pilates. My journey started back in 2012 when I fell in love with an innovative new way of practicing Pilates while living in Southern California. After experiencing the incredible transformation in my body and mind, I knew I had to share this life-changing workout with others. So, I decided to believe in myself, take a leap of faith, and introduce this new way of practicing Pilates to my hometown in Sarasota, Florida.

Since then, we've expanded to four locations between Florida and California, and we couldn't be more proud. One of the driving forces behind starting Mantra was my desire to create a business that gave me the flexibility to be with my children and watch them grow up. That's why Mantra has been such a perfect fit for me. I've been able to build a successful business while still prioritizing my family. As a business owner, I'm continually inspired by the clients who come to Mantra, fall in love with themselves, make friends, and keep coming back year after year. Some of our clients have been with us since we opened our doors.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

As an entrepreneur, my biggest accomplishment has been opening four locations and helping transform the lives of women who come to our studios. I have successfully created a safe space where women can overcome their fears and insecurities about working out and develop into confident, powerful individuals. In summary, fostering a sense of community and new friendships, making the studios not only a place for fitness but also a place for building relationships.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Being a business owner comes with a lot of responsibility and challenges, but it also offers a lot of rewards. One of the biggest things that come with being a business owner is the ability to control your own destiny and make decisions that can directly impact the success of your business. This can be both empowering and daunting at the same time. You will have to manage and motivate employees, develop marketing strategies, maintain financial stability, and continuously innovate to stay competitive. However, with hard work and dedication, being a business owner can also offer financial stability, a sense of accomplishment, and the freedom to pursue your passion.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Research and plan: Before starting any business, it's crucial to research and plan thoroughly. This includes understanding your target audience, identifying your unique value proposition, and developing a comprehensive business plan. Conduct market research to determine the demand for your product or service, analyze your competitors, and define your marketing strategy.
  2. Build a strong team: Building a strong and motivated team is essential for the success of any business. Hire employees who share your vision and values, and provide them with the training and resources they need to excel in their roles. Encourage open communication and collaboration to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  3. Adapt and innovate: The business world is constantly evolving, so it's important to remain flexible and adaptable. Be open to feedback, stay up-to-date with industry trends, and continually seek ways to improve and innovate.
