What's your business, and who are your customers?

Quazaams Coffee! Which is an online-only-based company. My customers are from all over the United States, and they range anywhere from 18 to 65 in age. I welcome all walks of life and genders to Quazaams Coffee, and we look forward to continuing to provide extraordinary flavors and blends to current and new customers that patronize our business.

Tell us about yourself

I am a person that enjoys spending time with my family, having laughs and telling jokes, as well as enjoying a cup of Quazaams Coffee to pass time. I got started in the coffee industry because my primary business of being a vendor of clothing and accessories took an unfortunate turn for the worse due to Covid 19.

So I had to make a very quick and hard choice to pivot, and I must say I'm surprisingly glad I did because I discovered a hidden passion for coffee that's been living inside all along. My motivation is quite simple, I wake up daily thinking about it, and I go to bed thinking about this business. I truly enjoy providing a service/product that makes people happy.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

As corny as this may sound, for Quazaams Coffee, my biggest accomplishment was doing it. I mean actually starting the business because I witnessed so many other small business owners quit, become discouraged, or even go back to a regular 9 to 5 ( No offense to anyone) during the pandemic, and that wasn't an option for me.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

In this current business, it's been hard for me to accept the fact that profit doesn't come quickly when your building a brand from the ground up as a novice and you are unknown with limited funds to become successful.

Also, in my previous business as a vendor, I was a one-man show. When it comes to building a brand, you need a team of people you can trust to handle the things that you can't do. And to find that team, you can very easily take losses because you can't trust everyone, and that is something that I learned the hard way at the beginning of my journey.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Chances make Champions.
  2. The money comes later when you're building a brand unless you're already rich.
  3. To run and grow a business, one has to realize that everyone will not share your vision, but that's okay as long as you wake up and go to sleep thinking about your vision. That's called PASSION!! RESEARCH!! RESEARCH!! AND MORE RESEARCH on any business venture you take.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

As I mentioned previously in question number 4, due to me taking a few setbacks financially because of lack of knowledge, dishonest people, and becoming discouraged mentally and emotionally, I just began a reconstruction process for the business in November of 2021, although my initial beginning was January of 2021.
