Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Ali Starr, Founder of Tashi Deley, located in Oshkosh, WI, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Tashi Deley exists to ignite 7.7 billion heartbeats to connect deep within so that we can honor the greatness within others. We do this through interactive in-person and online workshops, one-on-one coaching, inspirational keynotes, and company culture consulting.

Tell us about yourself

I have worked in many different industries, the NBA, NCAA, NBC 26, elementary principal, personal trainer, VP of Culture Development at a Credit Union, and college and high school basketball coach, and one thing remained certain when there was high trust and people were confident in what they contributed to the greater good, amazing results take place.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The wife and mother I show up as!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Figuring out the necessary tasks that are not my best and highest use. Wearing different hats (marketing, accounting, invoicing, content creating, website enhancement, lead generating, etc.) until I am able to leverage them off to those that love to do them!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. When you get paid, it cannot be thought of as income entirely!
  2. Goes back to #1, put a percentage of what the business makes into savings for 1099, employees or an organizational assistant in order to continue to do things no one else can and leverage the things others can do.
  3. Find people that are doing the things you desire and ask them for their wisdom!
  4. Being technically good at something is not the same thing as running a business!

Where can people find you and your business?
