Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Andrea Graves, Founder of You Are Mind Body Soul, located in Meriden, CT, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

You Are Mind Body Soul guides women to bridge the mind through psychosomatic education, consciousness reconditioning, and goddess alchemy. We work with women looking to embody their most authentic selves by deepening into their personal journeys.

Tell us about yourself

I became a life coach after realizing that working within the medical system was not aligned with my authentic identity. I’ve worked in the field of wellness as well as aerial fitness for over a decade. Authentic expression and living a life in vibrational alignment with my most vivid goals and visions keep me motivated to do this work daily.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is becoming a published author. I recently wrote a book called “Exploring Your Divine Feminine Potential: A Playbook for the Awakening Goddess.” Available on Amazon Kindle. It is a liberating experience to be able to have the courage to share my authentic voice and see that it inspires women to transform into more joyful, brilliant versions of themselves.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that has come with being a heart-centered business owner is the learning curve around marketing and thriving in this internet age. If you aren’t focused on your personal narrative and path, it’s easy to get lost in the sauce.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Find the single most important thing that you can do to share your voice via your art or mission and get exposure.
  2. Remain curious and seek out experts in-person or take self-education pathways. Always be learning.
  3. Do your inner work around your limiting beliefs and behaviors. Your business grows parallel to your personal growth, so get moving.
