Tell us about yourself
I am a Clinical Nutritionist and well-regarded expert in the nutrition field. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and my Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. My company specializes in nutrition counseling for all ages and disease conditions.
The purpose of my company is to help complement the health care industry after going through my own health struggles. Being told to eat better and exercise more is not a personalized solution. I also had experience in the fad diet industry and learned quickly how I would never teach people how to eat.
Our genes load the gun, but our environment pulls the trigger. I've had 12 years motivating me to keep saving lives and teaching people that your genes are not your destiny!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Boundaries. It is easy to work around the clock and be available 24/7, but work will always be there. Knowing when to outsource and delegate can definitely allow me to focus on growing my company and mentoring my amazing team.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Prepare to make sacrifices (i.e., time with family/friends, financially, vacations, etc.)
- Organization skills are a must, and always document everything!
- Do research to see if your services are needed or if the market is already saturated.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Being an entrepreneur is not for the faint of heart. The tenacity required is beyond what you'd expect, but there are also so many benefits of owning your own business.
In order to be successful, you will need to be in a constant state of adapting and learning!
