Tell us about yourself

My path started as a registered nurse working in emergency medicine in intensive care units as a stress release; I started running marathons each marathon. I was more motivated and more challenged to get an invite to run the Boston Marathon; at that time, I was running 50 to 75 miles a week, which stopped me and my track with bad sciatica numbness tingly running down my legs. At that time, all I knew was Western medicine. I exhausted all my measures of care and Western medicine only for the doctors to tell me to retire my running shoes and that I probably would need surgery down the line. My challenges push me into trying holistic modalities. I sought out Hellerwork, which is structural bodywork. This modality gave me a new insight into being in my body, connecting the body, mind, and spirit from there. I went to yoga from yoga. I went into healing the internal body with herbs in homeopathy, later to become a family nurse practitioner, then a doctor of the naturopath, a yoga instructor both nationally and internationally, a healthy brass educator, and a B young addiction, facilitator, specializing in breast health and prostate health.
